She will rock you…

Five ferocious females ascend the rock throne and step into Freddie’s shoes (and shorts, leather jackets and leotards) in a celebration of glam rock.

Electrifying performances of Queen’s greatest hits, with some original infusions from other glam rock royals Prince and David Bowie thrown in, Killer Queens pays tribute to one of the greatest front-men and queer icon, Freddie Mercury.

Sure, you’ve been rocked by ‘We Are The Champions’, ‘Another One Bites The Dust’,’ Somebody to Love’, ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ before, but you haven’t heard them sung like this.

Following a sell-out season at Melt Festival, Killer Queens is a combination of prog rock, heavy metal, vaudeville, astonishing vocals, and campy theatrics, five women perform all the classics we know and love in a way you’ve never heard before.

Forget the tragic tribute bands and bastardising impersonations, this is how Queen is meant to be celebrated, remembered, and performed. Bombastic, brilliant and bold, the Killer Queens are guaranteed to blow your mind.

It takes a lot Not to End Up Dead is a collection of original songs and stories that weave through a conversation with Lizzie and her younger self, played by Ella Macrokanis. Ella was taught music by Lizzie as a twelve-year-old student at West End Primary School Brisbane. Ms Flynn provided the inspiration and encouragement to take an artistic career seriously, so there is a truthful connection between the two in this production. A few years on, with Ella now having performing experience in both musical theatre and acting and Lizzie having written a new album of original songs, they have come together to take you on a journey of the ‘sliding door’ moments that we face in the road trip of our lives.

The Centre Beaudesert- 82 Brisbane St, Beaudesert.
